I grew up in Houston, Texas. I was always an athlete. From a young age I swam competitively. Once I graduated from college, I started running. I have now been an avid runner for over 30 years. I've run 7 marathons, including 3 Boston Marathons, a couple of 50K's, a couple of Ironman, marathon swims and a ton of other things but who's counting? In 2001, I broke my femur running a trail race in California. My right leg is now titanium. For years I struggled to regain my fitness and strength using traditional means. I was always searching for ways to get fit, stay fit and be strong. I was constantly in physical therapy and struggled with injuries one after another.
